Grantham, Belton Lane - report of dangerous driving followed by a collision

We are investigating a report of dangerous driving which led to a collision on Belton Lane on Thursday 7 May.

Our investigation focusses on the driver of a blue Vauxhall Insignia.  Our inquiries show the vehicle was driven between the times of 5.15pm to 5.37pm around Grantham town, onto Manthorpe Road and onto Belton Lane.  

The blue Vauxhall came to rest after hitting another car, a VW Touran and a lamppost on Belton Lane.  The driver ran away from the scene.  Thankfully only minor injuries were reported to the other driver.  

We would like to hear from anyone who was in the locations mentioned to check any CCTV or recorded/dashcam footage they may have, or if anyone recalls seeing anything of note that will assist our investigation.  Anyone who is able to help is asked to contact the Investigating Officer by email at carmen.booth2@lincs.police.uk
